This is the Music Video Treatment For WokeB

Some of the lyrics say “From a Broke B* to a Woke B*”.

Playing off that, the video is a girl waiting for the LA Metro Train. But she looks like a super star. I hate to use a dated term, but Woke B is a “Ghetto fabulous” runway fashion show. She gets up and starts to walk as though she is on the biggest fashion runway in the world.  It doesn’t matter that she is taking public transit. No matter where she goes, she is the center of attention. Because she is woke. She realizes one thing that you have not.

FASHION IS A STATE OF MIND.

Her state of mind is Versace and Belenciaga and wherever she goes she exudes that attitude. It doesn’t matter that the place she is physically is the furthest from one of those runways. Her attitude is: “I am so bad ass I could care less about you, get out of my way I have somewhere to beIt Is Milan in the middle of Brooklyn. It is about bold attitudes and brave ideas that push conventions. It is about how fashion itself is the process of pushing what exists beyond itself into what it could be. Being Woke is having fresh eyes that are open to new ideas.  The video itself needs to find ways to embody these ideas visually. We can place Eva in urban environments like parking garages and metro stations, or places like a laundromat.

All very mundane “Broke” environments.

But they are all elevated to the future by Eva’s Attitude and her edge and her fashion. She is woke. She is tomorrow.
