Logo Anim v14

Logo Anim v15

This is what it would look like if we used the 3D robot head I created instead of transitioning to the 2D logo

Here are my earlier attempts so you can see the process

Logo Anim_v1

My first attempt. I had to recreate the logo and clean it up.

Logo Anim v2

The first one was too large in the frame and needed to be smaller in the frame to look more sophisticated

Logo Anim v3

Once that was working, I tried adding the tag line

Logo Anim_v4

I tried having the head float into place, but it didn’t work very well. The idea would work, but only as a 3D animation with a more interesting camera move. But I decided to save that idea for later.

Logo Anim_v5

I tried some vector explosions to bring the logo on, but it was too messy

Logo Anim_v6

So I tried something a lot cleaner

And it came out pretty nice.

After that I started collecting mood boards for a 1950’s robot concept.

The logo, obviously comes from retro 50’s art . I thought I would play with that idea and tie it into the idea of “Compelling stories”.

Building the 3D model

Logo Anim v7

This came out pretty good

You can see where the inpiration from the style came from. It needed to look like the logo, but also play off the inspiration the art comes from. A kind of pulp sci fi novel or comic book.

Logo Anim v8

It was working, but I had the idea of playing up the comic book vibe by using a page turning concept. Which was cool, but the timing was too fast.

Logo Anim v9

This was still too fast. and I needed to lose one of the pages

Logo Anim v10

Almost there, but I needed to slow it down a hair

And this was the final version

Logo Anim v11

Almost had it but the timing was still off

Logo Anim v12

This is almost it but the last page turn transition still felt weird

Logo Anim v14

And here is the final animation

And Once Again the 3D version
